On the 10th of January 2026 at the Calabar International Conference Centre, lots of smiling faces carry fat Cheques home. They were the winners of the Carnival Calabar Video Challenge promoted by Ugi Augustine Ugi, UAU Foundation and Nugi Technologies Nig. Ltd.
It was the 10th year anniversary of the technology company, and they used the opportunity to support and empower young creatives as part of the Month Long Carnival Calabar and Festival. Nugi Technologies Nig. Ltd. is a young company that has transformed the income of Cross River State in the last 3 years.

The goal was to showcase Africa’s largest street party through youth creativity and attract global attention.

● Winners:
○ 5 participants: ₦1,000,000 each
○ 20 participants: ₦500,000 each
○ 20 additional participants: ₦150,000 each
The other UAU FOUNDATION CHALLENGES produced
● 108 winners empowered with structured financial support
● ₦44.35 Million disbursed directly to entrepreneurs, small business owners, and creatives.
