The Blake Resort Marina project in Calabar, Cross River State, has reached 80 per cent completion, further boosting confidence in the state’s growing reputation as an investment-friendly destination.
The milestone is being viewed by stakeholders as a strong indication of the enabling environment created by the administration of Governor Bassey Otu to attract private sector investments, particularly in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
Located in Calabar, the resort marina project is expected to add significant value to the state’s tourism infrastructure upon completion, while also creating employment opportunities and stimulating economic activities within the region.
Industry observers noted that the ongoing development aligns with the Cross River State Government’s broader vision of positioning Calabar as a leading tourism and leisure hub in Nigeria and West Africa.
The progress recorded on the project has also been linked to improved investor confidence under the current administration, with many stakeholders commending Governor Otu for policies aimed at encouraging business growth and infrastructure development.
The Blake Resort Marina is expected to complement other tourism assets in the state, including Carnival Calabar and several eco-tourism attractions, further strengthening the state’s appeal to both local and international visitors.
