British International brand, Clarks Shoe opens first store in Lagos, targets 70 more in Nigeria and Ghana

British-based, international shoe manufacturer and retailer, Clarks shoe has launched its first official store at Ikeja City Mall Alausa, Ikeja Lagos, its first store in Africa.

This is just as the brand is hoping to open about 70 more stores in Nigeria and Ghana, spreading its further in the West African region.

According to theconferencenews.com, Clarks in conjunction with Smartmark Ltd, introduces the brand latest AW20 campaign “THEN. NOW. ALWAYS” which purpose is “To define comfort in movement through innovation”.

Explaining the classic style of the brand, Director of Smartmark, John Onyeoguzoro said at the press conference that the design is a made-up of past and present with a cast of maverick creative brand’s rich history, which is the enduring and cross-generational appeal to all lovers of fashion, also to create an instant classic design for the region.

Reaching the Africa market, Onyeoguzoro said the plan is to open 70 stores, which will be located in major malls and on the high streets in Nigeria and Ghana to enable Clark’s loyal customers access the brand.

“The brand, which is founded in 1825 for over 190 years of knowledge and expertise, has established more than 750 stores worldwide,” he stated.
